Dr. Scheinberg is board certified in orthopaedic surgery with a fellowship in sports medicine knee and shoulder surgery.  He is Clinical Assistant Professor at UTSW Department of Orthopaedics, Past President of the Texas Society of Sports Medicine and a member of the Texas and American Medical Associations. The author of numerous papers and book chapters, he has presented scientific papers at national and international conferences.  As a team physician for the U.S. Ski Team and multiple local schools, he has a special interest in sports-related injuries, arthroscopic surgery, reconstructive knee, shoulder and elbow surgery.  Scheinberg and his wife, Deon reside in Dallas .
